Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how JK.Creative LLC ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use ReelText.

1. What we collect

  • Order data: your email address, tier purchased, and Square payment ID (received from Square after purchase)
  • Intake form data: your name, podcast name, episode title, guest information (if provided), keywords, CTA, and special instructions
  • Transcript content: the file, pasted text, platform link, or YouTube URL you submit
  • Generated output: the show notes and PDF we produce from your transcript
  • Technical data: IP address and basic server logs for abuse prevention and troubleshooting

2. How we use it

We use your data exclusively to deliver the service you purchased: processing your transcript into show notes and emailing the PDF to you. We do not use your content to train machine learning models, sell it to third parties, or publish it.

3. Subprocessors

To deliver the service, we transmit transcript content to these providers:

  • Ollama (self-hosted): for transcript normalization and show-notes generation. Runs on our own infrastructure — no third-party data sharing.
  • Google Gemini API: for the quality-assurance pass. Google's Gemini API terms apply. Content submitted through the paid-tier API is not used for model training; free-tier usage may be. We use whichever tier is active on your order — see below.
  • Supabase: database hosting for order records and delivery status. Supabase privacy policy.
  • Resend: email delivery. Resend privacy policy.
  • Square: payment processing — receives buyer name, email, and card data directly; we receive only payment ID, amount, and buyer email. Square privacy policy.
  • Oracle Cloud: infrastructure hosting.

4. Retention

Transcripts and generated PDFs are retained for 30 days after delivery to support re-delivery and revision requests, then automatically purged. Order metadata (email, tier, timestamps, status) is retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing reeltext@jkcreative.store.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict our processing of it. If you are in the EU (GDPR), UK (UK GDPR), or California (CCPA/CPRA), these rights apply. Email us to exercise any of these rights.

6. Cookies

The ReelText website does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising trackers.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS for all connections, encrypted credential storage, access-controlled database tables (service-role only), and server-side validation. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, email us immediately.

8. Children

ReelText is not intended for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our infrastructure is hosted there. If you are accessing ReelText from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to active customers and posted on this page.
